LUMIA FEST: Nokia 920 & 820 available in hk

Nokia's latest flagship phone 920 as well as its little brother Lumia 820 are now being sold in hk. In store the Lumia 920 appears to be out of stock but the 820 is, only in very limited quantity (around 20 + demo unit for now).
The Lumia 920 (32GB) is, however up for pre-orders, and early adopters have the option to pay a 300 dollar + the 5588 HKD for the handset. Unlike other HK phones the lumia 920 has their 4G chips intact and will work with HK 4G LTE Services *cough* RAZR/RAZR MAXX *cough* and probably back in the states too.

For people looking for a cheaper Windows Phone, the Lumia 900 can be snagged at a lower 4.4k HKD in Broadway or even cheaper with a bit of digging

Prices:
Lumia 920: $5588 HKD (Pre-prders only for now)
Lumia 820: $4388 HKD Avaliable now but in limited quantities for these few days

***Windows 8 DEV preview***

TRY WINDOWS 8 BETA 1 NOW!!! PLEASE READ ENTIRE ARTICLE BEFORE TRYING IT

The windows 8 dev preview for 32 and 64 bit computers is out and available for free download on windows developer site.  Please read the guidelines. I recommend installing this in a virtual machine like virtual box or parallels. The preview isn't designed to replace your windows xp, windows 7 or etc, as their are many unavailable features.

Their are quite some new features. the Desktop still retains a similar interface to windows 7, and apps still seem to load the same way as win 7 too. The apps that appear in the menu are known as "Metro Style Apps".

Go to windows 8 developer site here http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/apps/br229516

<----- Some pictures of the windows 8 start menu. It supports a few muli-touch gestures, though only one managed works ( using 2 fingers, like the mac to scroll the menu) but isn't as smooth. Click to enlarge.

Samsung also released a Windows 8 preview tablet, geared towards eager developers.
