If you previously downloaded the OS X 10.8 Mountain lion developer preview (version 1) over here
you will notice that for every developer preview after snow leopard apple drops support for java and java runtime and requires users to obtain the java runtime  themselves. so here is the java runtime for 10.8 mountain lion (it is ported from the 10.7 dev preview java runtime so if you still use the dev edition of lion, it works) so you can finally play Minecraft :) and other java apps

Apple just released the developer build of OS X 10.8, Known as Mountain Lion. Below is the torrent for the Evaluation copy if you want to try things out. For new features compared to 10.7 Lion, see this link

I have tested the OS on my MB Pro and it works fine. However the iMessages is still very buggy. 10.8 Also introduces notification center and game center and much more to your mac, just like iOS.
